Community and Indigenous engagement
The Fleury Winds project is a joint initiative of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF), the National Government of the Red River Métis, its Affiliate the Red River Métis Power Corporation (RRMPC), and renewable energy company RES. Fleury Winds represents more than just a contribution to the transition to clean energy; it is a tangible expression of economic development, and a commitment to protecting our environment.
Our community and Indigenous engagement is built upon a foundation of early, transparent, and ongoing dialogue that prioritizes the integration of traditional knowledge with environmental science. We are dedicated to fostering respectful, Nation-to-Nation relationships with other Indigenous Nations while maintaining open communication with all local stakeholders. Our approach ensures that project planning is directly informed by the collective interests of those who live and work near the project. As we move forward, our priority remains creating sustainable economic benefits, including local business opportunities and job creation, and long-term investment that stays within the community.
The Fleury Winds project is currently in its early development phase, and we invite you to be an active participant in its evolution. We encourage you to share your initial feedback, questions, or concerns by emailing us at fleury.winds@res-group.com. The MMF and RES remain committed to keeping you informed, and we look forward to sharing details regarding upcoming Open Houses and engagement sessions in the near future.
